Palliative care encompasses the provision of supportive medical and psychological care to terminally or critically ill patients in the setting of their home.
This type of service is most widely used for cancer patients as cancer is a disease which has gained a very strong foothold and is spreading at an alarming rate in the country. Statistically, 1 in every 10 Indians will, at some point in their lives, have to combat cancer. Although it is a well-known and well spread disease, there is no definitive cure for it. Symptomatic treatment is the only way to deal with it including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, pain management, and symptomatic treatment of any/all symptoms which might impose itself on the patient.
Medical management of cancer leaves the patient in a very weak and frail condition, making it difficult for them or their family members to effectively care for them and this is where we come in.
Curodoc Healthcare is a one-point provider for all palliative care services which include but are not limited to nursing care, attendant care, assistance with activities of daily life, medicine management, physical therapy, and emotional support.
