Many people live with diabetes without any treatment or diabetic management as they either have no signs and symptoms of the disease or knowledge of it. If you or any of your family members or friend has any of the following symptoms, then it is best to get tested for Diabetes and go to your family physician at the earliest.

 

Symptoms Include:

  • Increased hunger and thirst

  • Increased urination, especially at night

  • Unexplained weight loss

  • Unexplained tiredness

  • Blurred vision

  • Slow-healing injuries

 

People with high blood pressure and pregnant women who suddenly experience these symptoms should also consider the possibility of diabetes and see their physician.

 

Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death and disability and can also lead to a lot of other complications such as cardiovascular problems, delay in healing wounds, kidney failure, numbness and tingling, loss of extremities secondary to infection and amputation, nerve damage, vision loss, and hearing loss.

 

Early detection and regular monitoring can help reduce the risk of diabetes complications. Proper management under the guidance of a Diabetologist with adequate medication dosage and some lifestyle changes, it can be efficiently managed and you can still lead a full and happy life.


Diabetes is basically nature’s way of telling you that you need to take it slow and make essential changes to your life and lifestyle to live healthy and be fit.
